Baby Blue Eucalyptus Tree Herb 20 Seeds for $2.49

Baby Blue Eucalyptus Tree Herb 20 Seeds

Product Description

HERBS: Treat yourself to fresh herbs right from your garden! The difference when home grown is impressive! All are excellent for adding distinctive flavor to meat, and fish dishes, gravies, soups, salads and vegetables. They are fun to grow and make an attractive garden addition!

Eucalyptus is an enormous and fascinating genus. It comprises over 700 species and accounts for more than two-thirds of Australia s vegetation. However, their growing zone is not limited to Australia -- they can survive in cooler areas. There are many reasons to plant a eucalyptus -- to begin with, they help to control aphids and other insects; most of them will grow rapidly, even in poor soil (12' per year is not out of the question); and most of them are very attractive -- eucalyptus trees have a beauty all their own. Eucalyptus foliage, which shows incredible variety, is excellent in floral arrangements.

Unless it is to be grown as a pot plant for its entire life, a eucalyptus seedling must be planted as soon as possible, before too many roots reach the edges and bottom of its pot. Eucalyptus ought to be planted outside when they are between 8 - 14 inches in height.

I did "season" these seeds 1 week in the fridge between damp paper towels in a plastic baggie. These are phenomenal results for eucalyptus seeds!!

I planted 4 seed and have 3 sprouts that are about 2inches tall. I can't wait for it to grow larger, to see what happens. Very happy so far. I gave it 4 stars, since the seedlings are so new, I'll have to update the review in a few months, with a progress report.

Product Description

Originating from Madagascar, Royal Poinciana or Flamboyant Tree, Flame Tree, delonix regia is the world's most colorful tropical tree. It is without doubt a magnificent tree and virtually everyone falls in love with it at first sight! For several weeks in spring and summer it is covered with bright fiery red/orange blossoms. Up close the individual flowers are absolutely striking. Even when not in bloom, with its graceful form and fernlike foliage, it is still one of the most beautiful trees in the world.

Royal Poinciana is very fast growing, about 5 feet per year until maturity at 30-40 feet, and tolerant of a wide range of soil conditions. This tropical beauty is also well suited to pot culture, so even if you don't live in a tropical zone you can have fun growing this amazing plant. Surprisingly easy to grow from seed.

Hardy in zones 10-11

4.0 out of 5 stars Delonix Regia seeds, August 8, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: DELONIX REGIA FLAMBOYANT TREE colorful 10 seeds
I ordered a pack of 10 seeds. The package arrived on time and the seeds were well protected. I decided to try germinating 5 seed first. As per the instructions, I soaked them overnight and then potted them. However, after a week, none of the seeds had germinated. This may have been due to the fact that I potted the seeds to deep and/or the outer covering of the seed was too hard.

I then took the next batch of 5 seeds, used sandpaper to scratch the hard surface of the seeds as per this link ([...]) and then soaked them overnight. I potted the seeds at a very shallow height and voila, within a week all 5 seeds had germinated.

4 of the 10 seeds have started to grow. 1 died...I'm sad. However the other 3 are holding on. I am being meticulous with these tiny tree sprouts. Wish me luck...better yet wish them luck and tree blessings :)

I found this product "Japanese Red Maple" to be a very good product. It was shipped inside a pot with soil. The tree was still moist from the trip and the root system was intact. I really appreciate the vendor's attention to detail and the care they took to keep this little tree healthy.
I would buy more plants from this vendor.
Thank you!!!
