I was really expecting to get a dormant twig I got a 6 foot tall box with two 4' Pink weeping higan trees. just as if I would have went to my local nursery and picked them up. I planted them the next day, under close supervision on my wife (you know how that goes) and I am not sure if it is the soil, the trees, the water, or my wife talking to them but man are they just the perkiest little things. BTW I am far from a green thumb as well, I can dig holes, put things in holes, and bury things in holes, and that is as far as my garden and landscape skills go, but these was still able to live under my thumb.

update; They died. Don't know if if was me or the trees.

when it first arrived it was packaged well but the plant had holes in its leaves and in other small holes would fall out when i looked this up it said it was a Disease which could be treated but i didn't have the money to do that so i just left it outside took a few leaves off here and there when it started to get cold i brought it in the house where it was warmer almost immediately all the leaves started to fall off and it was bare naked within a day i saw new green baby leaves forming and like a Phoenix rising from its on ashes the plant is a beautiful full lush green tree and i eagerly await the day the flowers bloom if and when they do i will update this review and likely order more

Update Died leaves fell off again did not worry but then they never grew back i touch the tree its dried out i break a piece of branch to see it was dried down the trunk as well it passed awaybut just because i was unlucky does not mean you will be

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Deal!, May 11, 2012
This review is from: Pink Weeping Higan Tree (Trade Gallon)
The tree arrived much sooner than expected and it was bigger than I expected. I planted it almost immediately in my yard and it has been doing great for a couple of months now. I live in Port Orange Florida, slightly outside or just in the growing range (depending on where you get the information) and I have not had any major problems with it. There was a slight scare when I noticed spider mites pretty soon after planting it and I used neem oil and most of the leaves fell off and some branches died, but it came back no problem. Be careful with neem oil.I'm not sure if this made a difference, but I used micorrhizal fungi on the roots when planting, and it survived that pretty severe patch with the neem oil. Not sure if that had something to do with it, but you never know. For those who rate this below 5 stars because the tree died, keep in mind that the seller's only job is to deliver a live and healthy tree, whether it survives or not after transplantation has nothing to do with the...
