The plant arrived in a timely fashion and was packed well with plenty of water in the soil (although the picture is definitely misleading on the size you receive). After letting the plant recover from shipping for two days I transplanted it into a large pot and within a week I already had new foliage that sprouted. It's doing very well in my dining room.I ordered a dwarf pineapple plant from the same company that also seems to be coming along nicely. I'm definitely pleasantly surprised and rather happy with my purchases! 10 of 10 people found the following review helpful Still suffering from transit/transplant shock, By SCMLA "SoCal Martial Law Alerts" (Los Angeles, CA, USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Truly Tiny Musa Banana with 4" Pot 10/31/07I received the live banana plant (about 8" tall in a 4" pot) well-packed in excelsior with masking tape over the top & sides of the pot to keep the soil from falling out. Some of the leaves were damaged (crumpled) in transit, but, otherwise, it appeared very green & healthy. I transplanted the banana into a 12" pot along with ornamental basil & echinacea plants & spread glass rocks over the soil as mulch. The pot is sitting on my back porch -- southern exposure/full sun. 11/27/07 Large portions of the leaves have turned brown -- & especially the leaves that were damaged in transit -- including a quarter-sized spot on the curled leaf in the center of the plant. At first, I feared the banana was dying, since it lost some of its color, but it appears to be coming back & the center leaf is slowly starting to unfurl. I've got my fingers crossed ... 9 of 9 people found the following review helpful "Love This Plant", By Kirsten (Fremont, CA USA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Truly Tiny Musa Banana with 4" Pot I've had this plant since May, and it's growing incredibly well.
